Overview
This publication explores typology through scallop shells I have collected over the years from Florida beaches. Although all shells are from the same state, each possesses unique differences in size, color, texture, and pattern, making the collection feel both repetitive and distinct. The outer cover designs were inspired by a vintage, classic, coastal aesthetic, while the interior pages were kept modern and clean to ensure the shells remained the focal point. Each spread highlights the shell's form, measurements, and color palette, transforming a personal collection into a visual study of natural variation, memory, and coastal material culture.
